Our Executive Director, Dr. David Bowles, has been appointed to Governor Glenn Youngkin’s Aerospace Advisory Council.

Governor Youngkin announced additional key administrative appointments today. “I’m proud to appoint these dedicated individuals,” said Governor Youngkin. “Their work will move our Commonwealth into the future and help create a best-in-class government.”

Dr. Bowles also served on this Council under the previous governor from 2020-2022.

“I’m excited to be on the Governor’s Aerospace Advisory Council, to help leverage our amazing aerospace assets and grow the aerospace ecosystem in the Commonwealth,” Dr. Bowles said.

Dr. Bowles joined VISA in 2019 after working at NASA Langley for over 25 years, serving as associate director and deputy director before being appointed center director in 2015.
